Dec. 2nd, 2008 07:07 amA little bit of spamming, because it's 6 am, I've managed to sleep 3 hours in one piece and - for once - I'm not dying from neck-back-joints pain. Yay for me.

Short break at the office
Nov. 10th, 2008 06:44 pmFirstly, If you didn't see it yet, go and watch the missing scenes of Dean in Hell.
Go, you won't regret it!!!
Secondly, the book I ordered last week is here and I'm already totally in love:
"Dewey, The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World"
Not only is the topic of this book of high interest for me (why, how did you guess?), but it's also wonderfully written (at least for me - I can't be made accountable if you not like it, I liked "Angels and Demons"...)
Anyway, I found the perfect description of our fandom:
" Then there were the complainers. I was a little disappointed, I must admit, but not surprised. There is nothing on God's green earth that someone won't complain about, including both God and green earth.
One woman took particular offense. Her letter, sent to me and every member of the city council, was pure fire and brimstone, full of images of children keeling over from sudden asthma attacks and pregnant mothers spontaneously miscarrying when exposed to kitty litter. According to the letter, I was a murderous madwoman who was not only threatening the health of every innocent child in town born or unborn, but also destroying the social fabric of the community. An animal! In a library! If we let that stand, what was to stop people from walking a cow down Grand Avenue? In fact, she threatened to show up in the library one morning very soon with her cow in tow. Fortunately nobody took her seriously. I have no doubt she spoke for others in the community, in her overblown way, but general anger wasn't my concern. None of those people, as far as I could tell, ever visited the library."
*iz still recovering from laughing her a** off*
ETA:What the hell are the annoying Snap shots doing in my LJ again? I thought I got rid of them a long time ago. Anyone remembers how to kill them? Killed!
Go, you won't regret it!!!

ETA:
What the fuck is the big pile of ugly pretending to be my profile?!?!?!?!?!?
ETA: Gotta love it how every time LJ gets uglier, they come with the "public", "beta", feedback" etc. arguments.
Someone should send them a copy of The Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy.
For the record: I'm here for being an actual user and NOT for watching dozens of your "improvement" communities just in case a new fail comes up.

Nov. 5th, 2008 06:36 amWow, two posts about politics in one day - that's a new one for me...
I'm THRILLED about the results of the election in the US. I also listened to Obama's speech in Chicago and - wow, a speech that actually made sense. It's been a long time since I heard any politician talking and endured it for longer than ten seconds.
I hope you'll change America, Mr. President. It's about time.
Congratulations!!!

Nov. 5th, 2008 05:44 amI'm pretty much allergic to news and politics, but what's happening in Iceland and world's reaction to it is more than ridiculous, it's appalling.
Calling a nation who doesn't even have an army terrorists?!?!?! What are they smoking and can someone take it away from them?
I'm so enraged about it I'd probably spit in their faces.
Please go here and sign the petition. We can't make their decisions, but at least we can tell them what we think about it.

Nov. 4th, 2008 09:24 pmYAY!
I went earlier looking for her in the area where she was caught the first time around. I talked to a few people and - coincidentally - found the woman in whose yard she was born!
So now I know that she was born in March 2005, had kittens 3 times already and was always very shy. She lived outside and came to the house only to feed. She disappeared shortly before she got my two rascals, said the woman. I told her what happened, that she was fed just a few hundred meter away and the young woman called the people from the shelter.
I gave her my phone number and she said she'll call me if she ever shows up.
And she did!! Tonight around 6 pm she got there and fed! *does the happy dance*
So tomorrow I'm getting the trap and will see how quick I can catch her LOL (there are many other cats, too...)
